honestly man, you have reached your most pinnacle work here on newgrounds. and i know you wont be making music that often anymore, but keep note - that you will allways have high standards for your self and some how when ever things are looking down, you keep on moving. that has inspired me and i am following you in your footsteps in music making. I am working on songs slower now because of lazy ness and the fact that it's hard to get better when you know your good and trying to suprise peopel with really epic pieces.
(sorry if my review is kind of sloppy :P)
the progression is just smoothing, although there are a few wierd things in there ;P the arrangement is flawless in my opinion, but i never really found a really good climax in your song. the melody seems to be a little bit too quite, unless the chord progression is the climax and the melody is suppose to be in the back round. i cant really tell.
the bass, well, kind of plain. if there was some rolling bass in there, that would make the song sound full in highs, mids, and lows. you may just had left it out because it would sound muffled - but it would definately sound much better. i am listening to this song with my sennheiser headphones know and i noticed some of the mids in the breakdown section glitched and kind of hurt my ears a little bit, you may have had a little too much bass in them.
this is really your most epic pieces ever karco. and i think from your beginnings piece, this is kind of like a sequal to it ;) and im glad you put this song out here because it just sounds completely amazing. and ever sence you put my song airless gravity on your favorites, i knew i had potential. i am working my ass on my next/latest song. i remember the time you use to write a 5 paragraph essay on my oldest songs, and that really helped. now when you say you really have nothing to write about, i know im almost there. my mixing is 9/10 complete and my drums are getting better and so is my arrangement. and soon to greater melodies.
YOU are my inspiration to create full trance pieces. and i will soon be following in your steps on leaving newgrounds (in music wise) in the next few months/year to be producing even better tracks.
thank you karco, really.

And thank YOU, Neodrummer, for reviewing. ;D
Now that plenty of people are mentioning the progression, I'm realizing I need to be a bit more careful next time. :P Thanks for that.
You seem to have a different set of expectations for climax/peak from mine. For me, as long as it's got a lot of energy and release, anything goes. ;D And that's how it is in nearly all professional Trance as well.
The bass (and judges of Trancegiving may care to read this as well) was an imitation of the bass in Daniel Kandi's remix of Masters & Nickson - Out There (5th Dimension). Not much more than that. It IS pretty plain, but I plan on creating some pretty sick basses in the future. ;D It's difficult to use only a sub or sublike synth as your bass synth, and I did my best, but apparently for some people it wasn't enough.
This is new, my mix didn't sound good to you? Again, I don't worry too much about an issue unless multiple critics bring it up, so it may be your headphones. I really don't know. :\ I do have a brand new pair of earbuds though, and though they're only slightly different from the pair I used to mix this track, I'll be sure to mix future tracks with both to be sure. I hope to get some nice Sennheisers in the near future myself, and I'll be able to have a listen with all three. :D
I try, Neo. :) It's always great to hear that I'm such an inspiration to people, that my music means more than "fun to listen to." Keep at it, you've got a style of your own - don't let go of it!
(Of course, when I say I don't have much to say, it's often because you're using the same drums/have the same problems that you usually do. But you ARE improving, Escape is great, VERY creative, I especially like the pulse wave idea. :D)
Thanks for the thoughtful review! Glad you liked it that much. :)

8 bit artists are truly amazing. They make very melodic stuff, and it cant repeat that much other wise it would get boring and won't probably listen to it again. You have some repetitiveness in this song, but it was worthy of a try.
Keep it up.
